Everything is rubbish. But especially these shoes.
No we’re not trying to be mean, they are literally made out of rubbish. Here’s what’s happening: these three guys collected trash from the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, the English Channel, and the Thames River, disinfected it, smushed it up and turned it into those colorful shoes above.
Why did they do this? To send a message, of course. Consume less and waste less because everything we buy ends up as trash. Endless plastic waste isn’t exactly something we want to leave for our great grandkids to deal with.
These flashy shoes aren’t for sale, but if we had more people who turned our trash back into something useful to sell to us, it would be a big step towards a new lifestyle free of waste.
What are some things around your house that you could potentially reuse to make some cool, colorful shoes? Tell us in the comments!
