Freecycling: Not Just For Dumpster-Divers Anymore

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Or you can call it “freecycling” for short. Freecycling is great because it reduces waste by ensuring that whatever it is that you’d like to throw away can be used again by someone else. In the past that’s usually meant dumpster-diving to find that new wall décor, but thanks to the internet you don’t have to get your hands dirty anymore.

When you sign up with a freecycling group like TrashNothing.com, you’re put into a group depending on your location. If you have a bike that you’re ready to get rid of, create a post with a description of the bike. Anyone who wants it will contact you and you choose who to give it to.

Or, if you’re looking for a bike, send out a request to your group and anyone who has what you’re looking for will contact you.

Easy, free, and planet friendly.

What have you got lying around that you’d like to save from the landfill? Let us know in the comments!
