The Dragonfly

Urban farming is a growing trend—and in places like Roosevelt Island in New York, that means more vertical gardens.

This particular super-farm idea was inspired by a dragonfly’s wings. The building has farms, office space, housing and orchards (WOW).

The building will take advantage of solar energy and natural ventilation. Exterior gardens will also recycle rainwater and liquid waste from the tower’s residents for farm use, which means nutrients will be recycled as well.
