Solar panels are back on the White House roof!
Just a little history lesson: they first went up when Jimmy Carter was president as a way of kick-starting the country to becoming more independent and less dependent on foreign oil. Then Ronald Reagan removed the panels less than 10 years later.
But now Obama has reinstated them in his efforts to become more environmentally-conscious. The plan is to promote solar energy and solar energy businesses. What better way to start than shining the sun on White House solar panels?
Take a look at the panels being installed here.
